كنيسة سيّدة المعونات حارة المير - ذوق مكايل سنة ١٨٥٠ إشترى الشيخ عبّاس الخازن حجارةً مقصوبةً لبناء حارته. خلال ثورة الفلاّحين صادر الثوّار الحجارة بأمر قائدهم الياس المنيّر وبنوا بها كنيسةً رعائيّةً حتّى لا تصير مُطالبة بالحجارة، فجاء البناء عقدًا سريريًّا. رُمّمت الكنيسة أواخر القرن العشرين وهي تحوي العديد من اللوحات المحليّة. The Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help - Haret el Mir, Zouk Mikael It was built using building stones that were originally purchased by Sheikh Abbas el Khazen in 1850 for the construction of his mansion. However, during the peasant revolution of 1858, a group of revolutionaries led by Elias el Mnayyar confiscated the stones and used them to build a cross-vaulted church. As the stones were used to build a parochial church, no one could claim ownership over them. The church features many locally made paintings and was renovated at the end of the 20th century.

كنيسة مار أليشاع - عمشيت

سنة ١٨٠٧ بدأ بناء الكنيسة على يد فارس شاهين يوسف كرم، وكرّست سنة ١٨١٤. البناء كناية عن عقدٍ مُصالبٍ، مقسوم إلى قسمين مفصولين بشعريّة خشبيّة. سنة ٢٠٠٦ أثناء الترميم ظهرت في الكنيسة رسوماً جدرانية في حنية المذبح تعود إلى زمن بنائها. تضمّ الكنيسة مذبحًا إنعاميًّا مُغفّرًا من البابا لاون الثالث عشر. تحوي الكنيسة على لوحة لمار إليشاع من عمل جوستي، لوحة لمار شليطا من عمل عبدالله مطر اللحفدي ولوحة لمار روكز.

The church of St Elishah - Amshit

In 1807 the construction of the church began with Fares Chahin Youssef Karam, it was completed in 1814. The structure is a crossed vault cut in half with a wooden rood screen. In 2006 during restoration, XIXth century frescoes appeared in the apse. The high altar is a privileged altar by decree of pope Leo XIII. The church holds a painting by Josty depicting St Elishaa, a painting of St Chalita by Abdalla Matar El Lehfedy and a painting of St Roch.

دير سيّدة البشارة الخازن لراهبات الزيارة - زوق مكايل

سنة ١٨٢٥ بعد وفاة الشيخ بشارة جفال الخازن، كرَّس البطريرك يوسف حبيش حارته ديراً على اسم سيّدة البشارة. كان الدير أوّلاً خاصًا ببنات عائلة الخازن، اللواتي نظمن حياتهنّ بحسب قانون مار فرنسيس السالسيّ لراهبات الزيارة. مع مرور الزمن أصبح الدير يستقبل كافة البنات اللواتي يُردن اعتناق الحياة الديريّة التأمليّة المحصنة. وراهبات الزيارة ما زلن يحافظن على نمط حياةٍ تقليديّ بحسب قانونهنّ. كنيسة الدّير مسقوفة، تتميَز بخوروس الراهبات الموجود آخر الكنيسة وهو أعلى من مستواها، خلف مكان جلوس العوام، يعلوه متخّتين للراهبات العجائز.

The monastery of the Annunciation Khazen for the Visitandine nuns - Zouk Mikael

In 1825 after Sheikh Bchara Jaffal el Khazen passed away, Patriarch Youssef Hbeich converted his estate into a nunnery dedicated to our Lady of the Annunciation. The nuns where essentially from the Khazen family and adopted the rule of St Francis of Sales for the visitandine sisters while remaining maronites. With time the monastery began to accept girls from outside of the Khazen family who wanted a strict observance and a contemplative way of life that is still practiced today. The chapel of the monastery is roofed, it is distinguishable by it’s nuns choir at the end of the church, and three mezzanines used by older nuns to participate in the liturgy.

Built in 1660, the church played a great role in the history of the village, near it a school was built, and it was the main parish church before that of our Lady was built in the nineteenth century.
The church houses a collection of oil paintings dating back to the construction era: St George, an Immaculata, St Mamas, St Peter.
In the church’s sacristy are found the mortal remains of Fr. Gerges Srour 1688-1735, a holy priest with the title Al Qurbany, (the Eucharistic) because of his great devotion to the blessed sacrament and the great miracles that happened during elevation time in his Mass as attested by witnesses.


يعود البناء الى سنة ١٦٦٠. لعبت هذه الكنيسة دورًا هامًا في تاريخ البلدة اذ كانت الكنيسة الرعائية قبل بناء كنيسة السيذة. بقربها كانت تقوم مدرسة للأحداث. تحوي زيتيات تعود لفترة البناء: مار جرجس، السيدة، مار ماما، مار بطرس.
يرقد على رجاء القيامة في سكرستية الكنيسة رجل الله الخوري جرجس سرور ١٦٨٨-١٧٣٥، والمعروف بكراماته وعجائبه وعبادته للقربان الأقدس إذ كان وجه المسيح يظهر على القربانة عند الرفعة كما شهد معاصروه.
